About
Tri-M is the only national honor society for student musicians in the United States. In addition to looking good on a college application, it highlights each high school's music program and gives students the opportunity to perform, lead, and serve. It differs from a regular high school club in the it is an honor society that students need to apply to become recognized as an official member (refer to the "Requirements" page for specific requirements). Members need to re-apply each year to maintain their membership. Continuity is very much valued in Tri-M, as seniors who have been members of Tri-M throughout high school earn the Tri-M robe to be worn at graduation. Special service and leadership awards are also given to deserving members. See the Tri-M Honor Society Main Page for reference.

Various officer opportunities are available within the NPHS chapter! Officers need to be an inducted member who will be at least a sophomore the following year. In addition to the core group of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, other positions can be created depending on member interest. Officers need to attend every meeting and participate in a planning meeting prior to each official meeting and exemplify a high level of proactiveness within the society.
